INSTRUCTIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Individual Task:
\n<\/strong>Design a poster that addresses the course question:
\nWhat are \u2013or could be \u2013our key contributions to researching and <\/strong>
\nshaping climate futures?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Poster topic:<\/strong> Select one specific strategy of adapting to or of mitigating
\nglobal change (e.g., a regulatory intervention, specific consumer
\nbehavior, a nature-based solution).<\/p>\n

Your poster should deal with
\n1) the knowledge\/research which is necessary to support this strategy
\nand
\n2) an effective way to communicate\/implement this strategy.<\/p>\n

Group Organisational Task:<\/strong>
\n– Two poster sessions will be held on 26th June<\/strong> and 3rd July<\/strong>, where posters will be
\nexhibited and presented.
\n– You will work in groups to organise the two poster sessions; groups include Chair, Scientific Committee, Technical Team, Advertising Team, On-Site Logistics Team<\/em>.
\n– Organisation of groups and tasks will commence on 15th May<\/strong><\/p>\n

GRADING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Design (30 %)<\/strong>
\n\u27a2 Follows format guidelines (A0, portrait orientation)
\n\u27a2 Visual appeal
\n\u27a2 Clear and organized layout
\n\u27a2 Logical flow of information
\n\u27a2 Text and graphics readable from 1-2 m
\n\u27a2 Efficient use of space
\n\u27a2 Correct formatting and orthography<\/p>\n

Content (50 %)<\/strong>
\n\u27a2 Relevant and appropriate content:
\n– Poster contributes to answering the central course question
\n– Poster addresses one specific strategy of adapting to or of mitigating
\nglobal change
\n– Poster deals with both: 1) knowledge\/research which is necessary to
\nsupport this strategy and 2) an effective way to communicate\/implement
\nthis strategy. Both aspects do not need to be addressed equally.
\n\u27a2 Clear structure of poster content: clear objectives, clear take-home
\nmessages
\n\u27a2 Good depth of coverage
\n\u27a2 Correctness regarding content
\n\u27a2 Usage of relevant literature
\n\u27a2 Useful images\/figures
\n\u27a2 Figures intuitively comprehensible
\n\u27a2 Appropriate references of sources
\n\u27a2 Precise language<\/p>\n

Poster presentation to poster visitors (20%)<\/strong>
\n\u27a2 Precise, concise and clear oral presentation (2-3 min)
