INSTRUCTIONS
Individual Task:
Design a poster that addresses the course question:
What are –or could be –our key contributions to researching and
shaping climate futures?
Poster topic: Select one specific strategy of adapting to or of mitigating
global change (e.g., a regulatory intervention, specific consumer
behavior, a nature-based solution).
Your poster should deal with
1) the knowledge/research which is necessary to support this strategy
and
2) an effective way to communicate/implement this strategy.
Group Organisational Task:
– Two poster sessions will be held on 26th June and 3rd July, where posters will be
exhibited and presented.
– You will work in groups to organise the two poster sessions; groups include Chair, Scientific Committee, Technical Team, Advertising Team, On-Site Logistics Team.
– Organisation of groups and tasks will commence on 15th May
GRADING
Design (30 %)
➢ Follows format guidelines (A0, portrait orientation)
➢ Visual appeal
➢ Clear and organized layout
➢ Logical flow of information
➢ Text and graphics readable from 1-2 m
➢ Efficient use of space
➢ Correct formatting and orthography
Content (50 %)
➢ Relevant and appropriate content:
– Poster contributes to answering the central course question
– Poster addresses one specific strategy of adapting to or of mitigating
global change
– Poster deals with both: 1) knowledge/research which is necessary to
support this strategy and 2) an effective way to communicate/implement
this strategy. Both aspects do not need to be addressed equally.

➢ Correctness regarding content

Poster presentation to poster visitors (20%)
➢ Precise, concise and clear oral presentation (2-3 min)
