Homework 6 Due: 22nd May
For all students:
For your homework and class discussion next week please prepare the following text:
Van Der Sluijs J (2005): Uncertainty as a monster in the science–policy interface: Four coping strategies. Water science and technology, 52(6), 87-92.
The guiding question is: Compare and discuss uncertainty discourses as “boundary ordering devices” (Shakley and Wynne 1996) and “monsters” (van der Sluijs 2005). Which strategies of boundary-ordering/monster taming do you currently see at work in the climate debate in general, and in debates on the 2°-target in particular?
Please take notes on your reading and bring them to class next week.
