Need for Closure

What kind of answer do I need?- any answer?

What number do I need to act?- any number?

As mentioned in the last lecture,  the “need for closure” describes the “individual” need of a person for clear answers and their aversion against ambiguity and uncertainty in psychology (see e.g. http://www2.psych.ubc.ca/~schaller/Psyc590Readings/Kruglanski1996.pdf or https://www.researchgate.net/publication/312590936_Need_for_Closure_definition).

In cooperation with others, Kruglanski (2004) developed a “Need for Closure Scale” which is accessible here: http://www.midss.org/content/need-closure-scale-nfc and http://www.midss.org/sites/default/files/need_for_closure_scale.pdf. With this scale you can get an idea of how much you need certainty and clear answers in your life.

Super interesting and another dimension of our uncertainty debates-individual personality traits!
